Danny Washbook moved to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium for the 2012 season after following head coach Richard Agar from Hull FC. He had seven years with the black and whites until ‘Washy’ sought a new challenge and found it with the Wildcats in signing a three year contract.
After making his Super League debut in 2005 he made his full debut a year later under Agar before turning into an important part of the Airlie Birds side. The forward played in the 2006 Grand Final and was part of the squad that reached a Challenge Cup final too in his highlights at the KC Stadium where he made over 100 appearances.
A model of consistency, Washbrook has much to offer the Wildcats and settled into life at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium with ease and celebrated his debut season with the 2012 Super League Hit Man award. The number 13 completed 990 successful tackles to make him the leagues most consistent defender and he will be looking to continue that form along with his five tries in his second season under Agar.
