Lucas Walshaw is one of the youngest members of the 2013 first team squad at 20-years-old and has made a positive influence in Super League playing a string of games. The youngster actually made his debut in 2011 when he came off the bench against Leeds Rhinos before making a big impression in Richard Agar's first pre-season.
Despite breaking through as a centre Walshaw has been converted into a second-rower with his 6ft 5in stature posing threats to any defence. His imposing presence has been felt in a number of first team matches in 2012 with his speed and reliable tackling in the back-row being a real strength.
In August 2012 Walshaw joined Doncaster on a dual-registration deal where he was a stand-out performer in helping the Dons beat Barrow in the Championship One final.
Walshaw has joined Glenn Morrison's Dewsbury Rams for the 2013 campaign on a season long loan where he will be looking to impress and force his way back into Agar's first team plans.
