Wakefield Wildcats host Co-op Festival!

Wakefield Wildcats host Co-op Festival!
The Wakefield Wildcats are hosting the Co-op Festival on Sunday ahead of the Wildcats clash with the Bradford Bulls.

The Co-op Festival is a nationwide festival and the biggest rugby league one in the country; hosting festivals for U8’s, U9’s, U10’s and U11’s.

The Wildcats will be hosting the Wakefield based teams; Stanley and Crigglestone before the game with eight teams partaking.

From Stanley:
Stanley Rangers
Westgate
Normanton
Eastmoor

From Crigglestone:
Crigglestone
Stanley Rangers Wildcats
Walton
Churwell

All of the teams are U10’s and the festival will start at 11:00am.

Wakefield Wildcats are the first professional rugby league club to host such an event and they have now gained Clubmark; the Sport England cross sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections and the Chairman of the Yorkshire Junior League; Charlie Bray is more than happy to run the event.

Community Manager Davide Longo commented on the event “The Co-op Festival is a fantastic nationwide event and we are delighted to stage the two Wakefield based teams at Belle Vue Stadium. The Wildcats are ever increasing their links with amateur clubs in and around the Wakefield area and we are always looking to be associated with any junior event”
