About Us
The Wildcats have operated a community department for over 10 years with the focus being sport participation and education with Key Stage 1 and 2 children.
Mission Statement
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Community Programme exists to work in partnership with local schools, Business and community groups in order to complement their work in raising standards and seeks to make a significant and positive contribution to the learning culture in the community of Wakefield and District.

The department has four full- time members of staff who regularly deliver Assemblies, Coaching Programmes, Holiday Clubs, Summer Camps and Touch Rugby Leagues. The community team involves over 40,000 young people each year and has formed excellent links with all the schools and amateur rugby league clubs within the City of Wakefield.
The community team are also involved in pre – match entertainment and frequently arrange Exhibition Days which involve junior players from all the local and outreach amateur teams in Yorkshire and Lancashire. The clubs are offered Cash Back tickets to sell at their clubs where they can earn extra money for their junior section.
The community department has attracted funding from a variety of different organisations and businesses. Heart research U.K, Playing for Success, Sportsmatch and Specialist Ceiling Services all committed their money and trust in the Wildcats Community Programmes, giving the young people of Wakefield the opportunities they deserve. |
