Super League’s top dance team, the Wakefield Wildcat Dolls, will be turning on the style in aid of two Rugby League charities at the Hattons Solicitors Race Day at Haydock Park near St Helens on Saturday evening.
Star attraction at the race bash will be chart-topping group, Simply Red, and a crowd of around 20,000 people are expected at the racecourse that is just off the East Lancashire Road.
The Dolls will be leading the cash collection at the traditional auction as well as meeting and greeting the corporate guests.
They will be helping raise funds for the Steve Prescott Foundation, TRY Assist Fund (the RFL Benevolent Fund) and Manchester’s world famous cancer treatment centre, Christie’s Hospital.
Sarah Robinson, the Dolls leader and Project Manager at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, said: “Because we’re the Wildcats official dance group we have been supporting the Steve Prescott Foundation as he is one of our ex-players.
“It’s a great pleasure to assist that wonderful cause as well as both the TRY Assist Fund and Christies.”
