STATEMENT FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors of Wakefield Trinity RLFC Limited responded angrily today to recent press speculation regarding the sale and ownership of the land at Belle Vue, Doncaster Road, Wakefield.
A statement from the Board reads
Both the League Express and League Weekly newspapers have run articles over recent weeks in which the sale of Belle Vue has been brought into question and in particular the Chairman of the Club has been criticised for his involvement.
These articles and the criticism levied at the club and Chairman in particular are unfounded and we refute the allegations made.
The Club are taking legal advice on the articles printed and no further comments will be made at this time
