Chris Chester was appointed the Head Coach of Wakefield Wildcats on 16th March 2016.

Chester enjoyed a successful playing career, starting with Halifax in 1996 before moving to Wigan. In his time with the Warriors, Chris played off the interchange bench in two Grand Final defeats to St. Helens in 2000 and against Bradford in 2001.

Upon moving to Hull, Chester earned some silverware for his cabinet, winning the 2005 Challenge Cup final against Leeds Rhinos.

The former forward moved across the city to link up with Hull KR for two seasons in 2006 and that is where his career finished due to a serious neck injury.

Chester was given a role as First Team Coach at Hull KR after previously spending time at Castleford Tigers.

Chris was given the Head Coach job at Hull KR in 2014 and enjoyed two years at the helm of the Robins.

After his time in Hull ended, Chester took the vacant job at the Wildcats, returning to his home town.
