Liam Finn is one of the Wildcats new recruits for the 2016 season, signed from Castleford Tigers in the off-season.

Finn started his career with Halifax back in 2002 playing 21 times in Super League before coming to the Wildcats for his first short stint in Wakefield.

Finn played only two games in Super League for Trinity before leaving for Dewsbury. Finn spent many successful years in the Championship with Yorkshire sides, Dewsbury and Featherstone.

Whilst at Featherstone, Finn broke the world record for the most successful kick attempts in succession beating Barry Eaton’s record by slotting 41 over in a row.

Finn finally earned his big break and returned to Super League with Castleford Tigers in 2014 and was an integral part to their highly successful 2014 campaign, appearing at Wembley in their Challenge Cup final defeat to Leeds Rhinos.

After two successful years with the Tigers, the 32-year-old decided to return to Wakefield for a second spell. The Irishman has formed a good partnership with fellow half-back Jacob Miller starting every game for Trinity this season so far.

Finn is also a successful Irish international having made 24 appearances for his country and is the team captain.
