DOB 23rd Aug 1980

Stuart Dickens was appointed the Under 19s coach in October 2012 after the Wildcats approached him about joining the club on a full-time basis. That meant the prop ended a 17 year career with Featherstone Rovers where he will be remembered as a legend after amassing over 400 first team games.

Dickens led Rovers for a number of seasons and helped the club consistently challenge for top spot in the Championship after finishing top of the pile in 2012 before Sheffield beat them in the Grand Final, gaining revenge for Featherstone beating them the previous year.

Eastmoor Dragons and Westgate Wolves gave the forward a solid grounding in the game in Dickens’ amateur days and he joins Youth Development Manager Ryan Hudson as another Wakefield born member of the backroom staff at Belle Vue Stadium.

Head coach Richard Agar knows Dickens well from his playing days and moved swiftly to appoint him as the Under 19s coach and despite it being his first coaching role he has previously mentored young Featherstone players and taken a number of sessions at his time at the Big Fellas Stadium.
