Tinirau Arona joined the Wildcats from Sydney club Cronulla Sharks for the 2016 season.

Just like fellow new recruit Anthony Tupou, Arona has played for both Sydney Roosters and the Sharks.

The forward made his debut off the bench in 2011 for the Tricolours against Wests Tigers in their 24-6 win. He went on to make 36 appearances for the Bondi Boys scoring three tries, all in the 2012 season against Newcastle, Brisbane and the Gold Coast Titans.

Tinirau moved to Cronulla for two years beginning in the 2014 NRL season. Arona chalked up 33 appearances for the Sharkies in his stay in Sydney before coming out to England to join with the Wildcats.

Arona has represented his country, playing for the Cook Islands in the 2013 World Cup.

So far, Tinirau Arona has made seven appearances for Trinity.
