Adam Watene Fund

Following the sudden and unexpected loss of Adam Watene this week, Wakefield Wildcats have worked with his family to set up the Adam Watene Fund.

This is the official fund for Adam with the aim of it to help his family as they come to terms with their loss and to re-build their lives.

Adam leaves behind partner Moana and two children Arana (10) and Ena (4) who will all soon return to their native New Zealand.

A firm fans favourite, Adam was highly respected within the game; not only for his work ethic on the field but also for his continued work off it. He would regularly help out within the Wildcats Community programmes as well as taking up the role as Deputy Mayor of Wakefield’s Consort.
